Lateshia Butler

Lateshia Butler serves as the Director of the Office of Civil Rights Compliance and Title IX Coordinator at Mississippi State University. In this role, she leads the university’s efforts to ensure compliance with Title IX, Title VII, and the Campus SAVE Act/VAWA. Lateshia is responsible for investigating and adjudicating all Title IX complaints and handling cases involving discrimination, harassment, and retaliation. She plays a key role in developing policies and procedures that support MSU’s commitment to non-discrimination.

In addition to her compliance responsibilities, Lateshia facilities and implements university-wide training programs for faculty, staff, and students, promoting awareness and understanding of Title IX and other non-discrimination policies and procedures.

She is a graduate of the University of Mississippi and Mississippi College School of Law. Lateshia serves on several committees at MSU, including the Transformation Management Team, Staff Council, Athletic Council, and the Inclusive Excellence Leadership Council.
